Happy Easter!!

Well Goedemiddag everyone!! Sorry I didn't get the chance to email yesterday, the library was closed because of a holiday! So that is why I am emailing today! I know you all probably have heard about the bombings in Belgium, It is kind of crazy how everything went down and how some missionaries were injured. But I am grateful that there injuries weren't that fatal like others were, The Lord truly protects his missionaries! Continue to pray for those missionaries please!

I don't have that much time, but this week was really good, it wasn't successful like this last week, but we did end up teaching a few lessons and also finding some more people! We got dropped a lot though this week... so that was a little discouraging, but we will continue teaching and finding!

Well this weekend it was Easter! I hope everyone had a great Easter with all of there families and remembered our Savior! It truly is amazing to have the knowledge that we have a savior that died for us and that he did complete the atonement for the children of men and most importantly that he rose on the third day and that HE LIVES! I hope you all will continue to think about our Savior and the relationship that you have with him!

I hope you all have a great week! If I didn't get the chance to email you I will next week! I am sorry this email is so short, but I am doing well and the work is always moving forward! I love you all and am so grateful for all your support and prayers everyday! Talk to you all soon!!

Blow out Week!!

Goedemiddag everyone! Well this week was just super awesome! We saw a lot of success this week in Deventer! A little something funny to start out with, well last night Elder Le Duc and I were walking back home to catch a bus and we saw this one dude that was just drunk out of his mind, so I go up to him and start talking to him about how much he drank and that he drank to much and should not be running into cars while walking! So that was kind of funny!

Well first off this week was a miracle week! We ended up teaching a lot of lessons and finding a lot of new investigators! On Tuesday I believe I was studying in Chapter 9 of Preach My Gospel "Finding People", and I felt like I needed to study this chapter, because I needed some Faith in a hard city like Deventer. So that day I prayed and asked/told my Heavenly Father that I had faith that I wanted to find someone today!

Well it happened, and I had a really cool experience with it! We did a bell up(doing apartment bells) and we talk to this one guy and he was actually quite ticked at us for belling him and having us tell him about our belief, so he then comes out of his apartment and asks us why we are doing, what were doing. We had a nice conversation about who we were and why we were here. This guy we later found out that he used to leave in Texas, so we started then in English and just a solid conversation about beliefs and other stuff. By the end of our almost two hour conversation, I asked if he had any interest in what we share? and he said yeah I would like to hear a littel more about the Mormon belief! I was so shocked, my mind was blown on how this guy went from angry to us setting a return appointment, I was so amazed how the Light of Christ works in everyone!

For the rest of our week we spent teaching a lot of new investigators and trying to see who would still like to meet with us and who doesn't. We have some really cool people that we are teaching now here in Deventer, but a lot of them have been lazy and have fell through on a lot of our appointments.. But I have continued to have faith and not get discouraged!

I am super excited to see how everything will go with all the new investigators that we have found, I know the Light of Christ is real and that it can work wonders, I have never been so excited before to see investigators let us teach them and have them see the blessings that come from Reading in the Book Of Mormon and praying to recieve an answer! I know it works and I know that this Gospel is True.

I love you all and I hope that you all have a great week and I believe Easter is this next week! SO enjoy this beautiful time of the season, and Always remember that He Lives. Talk to you all soon! Tot ziens!

DEVENTER

Well Goedemiddag everyone! Transfers this week went really well, I traveled alone to Deventer from Den Haag, so that was cool, but I got there safely! My new comp is Elder Le Duc, he is a solid elder and works really hard! I am excited to see how this transfer will go!

Well for the small time I have spent in Deventer, it has been really interesting! All the people we have talked to either have been really weird and or not completely there, or they just don't want anything to do with us! So this will be a hard transfer, but there will be success! We have a really sweet Senior couple here in Deventer, Elder en Zuster Hill, they are the awesomest people ever and it is super cool to serve with them!

So this Saturday I got the opportunity to go to Den Haag for the baptism of Brigitte! It was such an awesome experience, she was so ready to take this step and was so happy after her baptism and knew that she had made the right decision to become a member! Funny story about the baptism, the Ward mission leader Martijn Scherf accidentaly over filled the baptismal font, so he almost flooded the church, so that was pretty funny to see! But everything went smoothly and was an amazing day for Brigitte!

The work here in Deventer is hard, it really is, but Elder Le Duc and I are excited for what this transfer will hold, we know that if we work hard, the lord will bless us for our efforts! I am excited to begin my work here in Deventer, it will be the refiners fire, but I am gonna have fun while I am at it! Just like what Steve Martin says in cheaper by the dozen, "Chin up and charge the mountain!!! and also what Ephraim Hanks says in Ephraims Rescue! `You can´t move mountains, while you are sitting on your backside!`
I hope you all have a great rest of your week and enjoy this beautiful spring weather! Talk to you all soon! Tot ziens! Loves!

Ik ga naar (I Am Going To) Deventer!

Well Goedemiddag everyone!! This week was an interesting one for sure! We got Transfer Calls this Saturday and I will be going to the city of Deventer with Elder Le Duc! I am super excited to begin a new part of my mission in Deventer!

This week has been a hard one for getting with our investigators.. Everytime we have called them, they answer and tell us that they are busy this week and have no time.. so it was hard to get teaching this week.. But one thing for sure, The Lord has a perfect purpose in everything!

Brigitte has been just flat out amazing! She is ready for this Saturday! It is a little upsetting to be leaving Den Haag, but I think I will get the opportunity to be there for her baptism! It is amazing to be a part of and to see the growth of your investigators that you have, she has literally done everything herself. All the commitments we give her she does. It is amazing to see the Light of Christ help these investigators to know the truth of the Restored Gospel.

It truly is hard to leave an Area.. especially one that is special like Den Haag, I made so many good relationships with the members and with the people here. But what I know for sure is, and what i have learned from being out on my mission, is that you are called for a SPECIFIC purpose for each area! I am so excited to begin working in Deventer and growing more as a missionary!

I hope you all have a great rest of your week and of course Happy birthday to my Mom today and my brother Matt on Saturday! and shout out to Joshua for making the Tennis team!! Love you guys!! Tot ziens!!
