Don't Stop, Never Give Up! Happy Birthday Dad!!

Goedemiddag everyone!!! First and Foremost Everyone, my father is jarig!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!! I can't remember how old you are, but I know it is close to 50... haha Love you Dad!

Well back again to tell you all about the week and how it was! Well I have another recording of the week, I really enjoy using this to explain my week a little more, so I hope that is okay with everyone!

Well first off I am going to talk about Saturday and Sunday since in the recording it doesn't really have an account of those days! Okay so on Saturday we had such a great day! I had probably one of the best study sessions in my whole mission, so I was all pumped! We ended up getting a call from a referall that had contacted us during our studies and she said she was at the church, but the gate was closed, so I went into panic mode and said I thought our appointment was for next Saturday! SO after a long pause I told her that we could be there in 15 minutes if that was possible! So she said yes and Elder Williams and I biked the fastest we have ever before in our lives! She ended up bringing a friend also and we taught them the Restoration and answered a bunch of there questions! It was super awesome and a miracle for us, we are going to set up another appointment and they will be coming to Church next week!! We also ended up teaching two more lessons that day and setting a baptismal date with an investigator!! SO we were on cloud nine that day!!

Now on Sunday it ended up being Fast sunday, but also we had a bunch of visitors from all over the Netherlands, including some members from Den Haag that I was very close with there! It made the most happiest guy ever to see them! and we ended up having 3 investigators in church that day, it was one amazing Sunday! Never had such a happier Sunday ever than at that time! and I was even fasting! That is saying something for sure! I am so grateful for this work and all that it does to help people grow! I always tell myself why am I so Tired, but just so happy all the time!! That is why!! I love this work!!

I love you all and will talk to you all soon! I hope you enjoy the recording again! Tot de volgende keer! Tot ziens!

Back in Arnhem!

Goedemorgen Everyone!!

Well this week was a good one for us! On Tuesday we left from Deventer and went back to Arnhem! It was really nice to get back there! We were super tired because it was after District Meeting, but we got out and visited some people that day! On Wednesday was probably the hottest day of my life in the mission.. We were dying.. but we carried on with our water bottles!

We had the opportunity to go and help an investigator with her daughter's birthday party, so we went and helped her move a couple of things and we had the opporutnity to teach her friend that was there about the Book of Mormon! It was super cool, she was super open about everything, we taught her the Restoration in a small amount of time, but it was super cool! She had to hurry and leave and we didn't get the chance to get her information, but hopefully Monica can give that to us to see if she has further interest! Well we ended up also teaching Monica about the Big 3(Prayer, Church, and Scriptures) she said she has been super stressed and hasn't been able to feel peace and rest and we explained to her that through these things we can become more happier, because we have recieved it ourselves! It was super cool! We then prayed with her and all the kids at the birthday party!

We had another lesson with Semmie this week, and it was a good lesson, she is super busy and stressed with all of her kids and she recently had to go to the hospital because she had kidney stones.. so that was hard and painful for her. So we went over saturday and read in the Book of Mormon with her and she was a lot more happier and less stressed! It was nice to see her be happier and give her a little boost for this week!

I hope you all had a great week, this next week should a good one for us! I am excited to see how the work will be here in Arnhem! I love you all and I will talk to you soon!

Dutch Healthcare is terrible....

Goedemorgen everyone! Well unfortunately this weeks email is going to be short because of a couple things, one because I am emailing on an iPad, two I don't have too much to talk about, but I have some things good about this week! Well first off the Dutch healthcare is terrible.... We took elder Williams to the ER and they turned us away and told us we didn't qualify for the ER.. So I was furious! We then went to a doctor the next day and elder Williams apparently has a viral infection that is affecting his body in weird was such as inflammation in parts of his body and a rash around his body, so president told us to go stay with the Deventer senior couple for a couple days, so that is where we are. Elder Williams is doing a lot better and is almost ready to start working again.

I have had the chance to work with the Deventer elders for the past couple of days, we had a cool experience on Saturday, we taught one of our investigators in Arnhem named Sammie, she has 4 kids and is alone so she is going through a tough time with everything and we had a lesson with her and it was super cool to see how willing she is to follow what God wants for her, we talked about baptism and how she wants to prepare for it and make that promise with our Heavenly Father, it was a really spiritual lesson and really eye opener!

And besides that we have been planning for our week and district meeting so it has been good! And that is about it for us for this week, we hope We will be back in Arnhem soon! I love you all, talk to you soon!
